Welcome to Kids Cancer Charity, we are a national charity supporting children with cancer and their families through their challenging journey. Life changes when a child is diagnosed with cancer, every aspect of their life and that of their family is thrown into turmoil. We care and we understand the complexity of emotions and rigorous physical demands of treatment. Our wish is for children affected by cancer and their families to not feel alone. For over 30 years we have been providing play therapy and care breaks for families from all over the UK.
It can be challenging to find the balance of emotional and psychosocial wellbeing when the physical demands of cancer are overwhelming and unrelenting medical regimes become a necessary priority. We understand that when a child is suffering with cancer that family members are also affected as they provide essential support through a gruelling cancer journey. Everyday life for children suffering with cancer is challenging, where significant physical and emotional obstacles make each day an upward battle.
We are a national charity established in 1989 set up to support children affected by cancer and their families all over the UK through our Holiday Programme and Play Therapy.
Supporting children affected by cancer and the whole family from diagnosis, through treatment and beyond, we afford emotional support, assist coping, provide respite and opportunity for togetherness, fostering wellbeing.
